Continue your pottery journey in our new BGC branch! Take our Advanced Wheel Throwing Course and learn different techniques on the wheel. Formal lessons are done every week. Inclusive of unlimited studio use for the whole month.
After the course, a mini gallery exhibit will be held in the studio. Invite your friends and family to celebrate your ceramic works of art. This course will be taught by Erika Austria, founder of Laro Ceramics.

10AM in BGC. Clay Preparation. Forming Cylinders. Shaping bowls.
August 3, Sunday 10AM in BGC.Trimming and handles. Using underglaze and sgraffito.
August 10, Sunday 6PM in BGC. Throwing big! Vases and bottles. Making Plates.
August 17, Sunday 6PM in QC. Decoration & Glazing. Glaze chemistry lesson. Learnong how to load the kiln.
August 24, Sunday 6PM in BGC. Student exhibit in the evening.

Requirements
- Must have prior experience on the wheel. Any beginner's course on wheel throwing is permitted.
- Strictly no rescheduling allowed.
- Must be available on the specified dates.
Studio Amenities
- A complete studio with 10 wheels, workbench tables, wedging tables and an electric kiln that can fire from Cone 5 to Cone 10.
- Fully equipped with air-conditioning to keep you cool from the summer heat.
- Located in the CBD area. Surrounded by cafes and restaurants.
Unlimited Studio Use

What is the purpose of studio use? These hours are for practicing and applying what you learned during the Sunday lessons.

Unlimited clay for practice. Free use of the pottery wheels and work tables.

Studio use must be scheduled a day before. It is redeemable within the 4 week course.
About the Instructor
- Erika Austria is the founder of Laro Ceramics. She trained at La Meridiana, Italy in 2022 with a focus on functional ware under Franco Rampi.
- Over the years she has developed techniques on the wheel for cups, bowls and vases. Using both gas and electric kilns to fire her pieces.
- She has exhibited pieces in Milan, Italy (1000 Vases 2022) and Florence, Italy (On Centre Fall 2022). Condé Nast's publication World of Interiors included her pieces in their global quarterly roster "Top of the Pots" in 2023.
